Launch pricing for the first stores

The B2B commerce platform built into Shopify.

Bulkline turns a Shopify store into a complete wholesale operation: a storefront designed for trade buyers, an engine that enforces their prices, credit and payment terms at checkout, and a portal where they run their account. One product, set up once, running inside your Shopify admin.

  • Theme, Engine and Portal in one
  • Prices enforced at checkout
  • With or without Shopify B2B
  • Your data stays in your store
  • Built on Shopify Functions
  • Online Store 2.0
  • No external database
  • Works on every Shopify plan
  • Sold and invoiced by an EU company

Why Bulkline

Shopify sells to consumers. Your customers are businesses.

Trade buyers expect their own prices, order by code, buy in packs and pay on terms. Most stores patch this together with discount codes, spreadsheets and e-mail. Bulkline replaces the patchwork with one system.

Prices

Without Bulkline

Every buyer sees the retail price. Trade prices travel by e-mail, PDF price lists or discount codes that get shared.

With Bulkline

Each signed-in buyer sees their level or negotiated price on every page — and Shopify charges exactly that price at checkout.

Repeat orders

Without Bulkline

A 40-line reorder means 40 product pages, 40 quantity fields and a long phone call to fix mistakes.

With Bulkline

Quick order by product code: every variant on one page, or paste the list from a spreadsheet and add it all to the cart at once.

Credit and terms

Without Bulkline

Credit limits and payment terms live in a spreadsheet; someone checks them by hand before each order ships.

With Bulkline

Credit limit, payment days and overdue holds per buyer. Pay-on-terms appears at checkout only when the order fits the available credit.

Approvals

Without Bulkline

Anyone can register and see trade prices, or you approve accounts manually in a separate tool.

With Bulkline

A wholesale application form, buyer statuses (in review, verified, suspended) and storefront rules for what guests and pending buyers can see.

One product, three parts

Everything a wholesale business runs on, designed to work together

You don’t buy a theme and hope an app fits it. The storefront, the Engine and the portal share one data model, so a price you set in the admin is the price the buyer sees and the price Shopify charges.

Why not just a theme?

What a B2B theme cannot do on its own

A theme decides what buyers see. It cannot change what Shopify charges. That is why Bulkline ships the storefront together with an engine that runs inside Shopify’s checkout.

Shopify’s checkout ignores prices and rules that exist only in a theme, unless an app or Shopify B2B enforces them.

How it works

From one setting in the admin to the right price at checkout

There is no separate server holding your customers or prices. The Engine publishes your rules into your own Shopify store, where the theme and Shopify’s checkout read them.

  1. 01 · Engine admin

    You set the rules

Verify Northwind Supply, put them on the Gold level (−10%), give them 30-day terms and a $10,000 credit limit.

  2. 02 · Your Shopify store

    Published to your store

The Engine compiles the rules and saves them as metafields in your store. Nothing leaves Shopify.

  3. 03 · Storefront & portal

    The buyer sees them

Signed in, the buyer sees Gold prices on every page and their credit and terms in the portal.

  4. 04 · Checkout

    Shopify enforces them

Shopify Functions apply the Gold price to each line, check the order rules and offer pay-on-terms only while credit is available.

Prices are calculated in integer cents by the same engine on every step, and covered by 122 automated test scenarios.

Questions

What exactly is Bulkline?

A complete wholesale system for Shopify, sold as one product: a storefront theme designed for trade buyers, the B2B Engine app that applies their prices and rules at checkout, and a customer portal where they manage their account. The three parts are designed and tested together.

How is it different from a regular Shopify theme?

A theme can show a trade price, but Shopify’s checkout charges whatever the product costs unless something enforces another price. Bulkline’s Engine runs inside the checkout, so the price a buyer sees is the price they pay — together with approval, credit and payment rules.

What does the B2B Engine do?

It is the Shopify app part of Bulkline. In its admin you manage buyers, levels, price lists and credit; its Shopify Functions apply the right price to every cart line, check the order rules and decide which payment methods each buyer sees at checkout.

What does the customer portal give my buyers?

One page in your store with their company card, status and level, available credit and unpaid balance, payment terms, company details, addresses and order history with “order again”. It works with both the new and the classic Shopify customer accounts.

How does setup work?

You upload the theme and activate the license (about 15 minutes), install the Engine and approve the plan in Shopify (about 5 minutes), then create levels, import prices and verify buyers at your own pace. During launch we go through it with you, and the setup guide covers every step.

Which Shopify plans are supported? Do I need Plus?

Every plan, from Basic to Plus. You don’t need Shopify Plus or Shopify’s own B2B features. If your plan includes them, the theme displays them too; the pricing page lists what Shopify offers on each plan.

Where are my customers’ data and prices stored?

In your own Shopify store. The Engine saves levels, prices and buyer settings as metafields in your store; there is no Bulkline database holding your customers or prices.

Will it slow my store down?

The theme has no render-blocking scripts and automated size budgets: current pages load about 10–13 KB of CSS and 7–9 KB of JavaScript, gzipped. Checkout pricing runs inside Shopify as compiled Functions, tested with carts of up to 500 lines.

Can we change the design?

Yes. Colors, fonts, layouts and content are set in the Shopify theme editor, starting from three style presets. Your developer can also edit the theme code for your own store.

Look around the demo store, compare the plans, and tell us about your catalog. We will confirm your setup in writing.
